Why Tea?

From British suffragette tea rooms to Myanmar’s revolutionary teahouses, tea has quietly fueled resistance across cultures and centuries. This zine honors that legacy—connecting UK and Southeast Asian struggles for freedom through a simple, shared ritual.

The #MilkTeaAlliance unites pro-democracy movements across Myanmar, Hong Kong, and Thailand. This zine is part of that story.

Co-Created with Communities

Developed through workshops with young people in refugee and IDP camps along the Myanmar-Thailand border, this project amplifies voices from the frontlines of resistance.
