Aim High Kids!

Aim High, Kids

In my poster, a Myanmar student stands unwavering, aiming a jet fighter with a pencil resting on his shoulder. The pencil, a universal tool of education, transforms into a quiet but powerful weapon—a symbol of knowledge as resistance. Against the oppressive machinery of war, the student’s stance embodies hope, resilience, and the unbreakable pursuit of learning.

Description

Aim High, Kids
Artwork by Kollin

A powerful act of defiance through art.

This striking poster features a Myanmar student standing firm, pencil balanced on his shoulder, aimed at a jet fighter overhead. In this image, the pencil—a universal symbol of education—becomes a tool of resistance. It speaks to the power of knowledge in the face of violence and the unbreakable spirit of Myanmar’s youth.

The artwork was created in response to the devastating airstrike on a school in Sagaing Region, which killed 22 people, including 20 children. These children were targeted and murdered for simply trying to learn.

This is more than a poster—it’s a protest.
It calls out war crimes. It honours the lives stolen.
And it stands in solidarity with all those who continue to learn, resist, and rebuild.

Proceeds from this print go directly to support survivors and families affected by the earthquake and military attacks.

Children should not be murdered for going to school. These are war crimes. We won’t forget.
