Designed to go Viral, was a positive vaccination campaign co- created with and by young people of Blackpool.

How did the project start?

The overall aim of the programme was to create positive sharable vaccination messages targeted at young adults across Blackpool. This was because of rising infection rates and the reducing uptake of vaccinations with the younger population of Blackpool.

Creating Conversation

In these polarising times we thought it important to first create open dialogue We did this by creating open conversations with focus groups and honesty boxes

Co-creation

Co-design practitioners aim to become design process guides or facilitators. While guiding young people through the design process of ideation and development, we helped people develop and raise the fidelity of their ideas. These ideas were then shared with an external audience not involved in the process.

In our co-design sessions, the no1 rule is all ideas are equal, let’s see where it takes us.

CoDesign is democratising design, we are all born creative but some unlearn it.

Hot topics

Our content aimed to spark debate on hot topics, particularly conspiracy theories that were trending at the time. This focus led to an engaging and enjoyable co-creation process. However, the experience was less enjoyable when the content was shared online, as it attracted significant negativity.

For the instagram and TikTok crew, we set a dance challenge to go viral featuring the local influencer Ryan Fenton.
